Dixcart Bay

Dixcart Bay is situated next to Derrible Bay and has a sandy beach at low-tide. It is one of the most popular anchorages on the east coast of Sark, indeed on beautiful days during the summer, you may find 10 to 15 boats anchored. The beach has easy access via steps and paths leading down a leafy, woodland valley. The top of the beach path leads to the Dixcart and Stocks Hotels and on to the Avenue in the heart of the village.

Dixcart Bay itself, boasts two sandy beaches divided by a natural archway through the cliffs together a with 375 foot deep cave to explore.

"This bay is essentially for children. In the season it is always crowded. The water is not deep and one can bathe there at any time. The path leads down through the pituresque Dixcart Valley and is one of the beauty spots of Sark"
