Derrible Bay
Derrible Bay is situated slightly to the east of Dixcart Bay and is the closest beach to the village with easy access via a hillside covered with gorse and wild flowers. Derrible bay also boasts an impressive and natural “blow-hole” cave called Creux Derrible. It is a perfect point for yachtsmen to anchor their boats and enjoy the beautiful Sark beaches.
"As is the case when bathing in any bay it is advisable to arrive here at half tide down. There are two ways to get down, to use both of which one must go over the property of La Tourelle. The owner is very reluctant to give permission on account of trippers having left glass lying about. The descent in either case is rather steep, although the more frequented route is quite safe. The other path is solely for good rock climbers"
"SARK as I found it" Captain Ernest Platt FRGS 1935
